#WeLoveVets campaign benefits many across SA
Vets are essential for keeping South Africa’s pets healthy and happy. dotsure.co.za, plays an active role in supporting the work of vets, especially in communities, at welfare clinics and shelter animals at welfare organisations. Sometimes injured or ill animals need medical assistance, but owners can’t afford the treatment. This is where the dotsure.co.za’s #WeLoveVets campaign comes into play, providing much needed financial support.
Â
doture.co.za’s Soft Landing initiative to do good, think good and be good for the betterment of those around us coupled with its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) exemplifies its commitment and proactive approach to animal welfare, ensuring that all animals, regardless of their circumstances, have access to essential veterinary care and support.
Â
Over the past year, dotsure.co.za’s Soft Landings Vet CSI commitment, has taken care of over thirty different cases including sterilisation, Rabies, vaccinations, surgeries and vet bills. The collaboration between dotsure.co.za and veterinary professionals has helped many pets such as Gretal, a 5-year-old ill Staffie taken to the Mount Pleasant Vet by her owner who lives in shared space in a garage and his only income is a Sassa grant. Gretal was diagnosed with pyometra (a uterine infection). As her owner couldn’t afford her medical procedure, dotsure.co.za lent its support by funding her operation and now fully healed, Gretal is back to her usual playful self.

4Paws is an animal welfare organisation and shelter based near Diepsloot, Johannesburg. They rely solely on donations. Aside from trying to find homes for dogs and cats, they also run outreach programmes in various townships where they collect sick and injured pets. Paulshof Vet Clinic is the primary vet assisting 4Paws, also providing primary health care services such as vaccinations and sterilisations. Subsidised through the dotsure.co.za CSI campaign these primary services are provided at vastly reduced prices, so pet owners can ensure their pets receive essential medical care without financial burden. It’s great to see collaborations like this helping to make veterinary care accessible and affordable for pet owners who might otherwise struggle to afford it.
Â
dotsure.co.za provided a Soft Landing for Meco and his owners, whose leg had to be amputated. Now coping with three legs, Meco is doing well, and his owners are incredibly grateful to dotsure.co.za and Pyramid Vet Clinic for the care, love and support of this special dog.Â
Â
“There are so many daily cases where animals need care and veterinary treatment. At dotsure.co.za it’s our policy to make a difference in the world.” says Glen Anderson, Managing Executive, dotsure.co.za. ‘By partnering with vets across South Africa, we can fulfil our responsibility to create a generous spirit by creating Soft Landings so we can do good, think good and be good for the betterment of those around us. Lending our support to helping animals, is what dotsure.co.za is all about.”

When young dog Tyson escaped after the Tornado that ripped the KZN North Coast, he was bitten by other dogs and when residents tried to separate the fighting canines, using pepper spray, Tyson was severely hurt. Thanks to dotsure.co.za and medical treatment at Animal Zone in Tongaat, Tyson has made a full recovery.
Â
A member of the public driving past a dog walking on a roadside suffering from burns and wounds took the injured dog to the Linton Grange Animal Hospital, believing it best to end the animal’s suffering. The Vet at Linton Grange decided otherwise and with dotsure.co.za covering the costs of the treatment, “Jet” is receiving treatment, medical care and love.
Â
Aside from covering costs for much needed medical assistance, dotsure.co.za also covers the costs of sterilisation procedures. When the Village Vet recently assisted community vets with the sterilisation of four dogs, dotsure.co.za was there to lend its all-important support.
Â
dotsure.co.za plays a crucial role in making a positive impact on the world. By paying for medical treatment; supporting preventative medicine such as sterilisation and inoculation; raising awareness about animal welfare issues; educating the public about responsible pet ownership, and advocating for the humane treatment of animals, dotsure.co.za plays a crucial role in making a positive impact on the world. This not only supports individual animals in need but also fosters a broader culture of compassion and empathy towards animals. Ultimately, such initiatives contribute to building a more caring and conscientious society.
In addition to its Vet CSI campaign,  dotsure.co.za also contributed significantly to assisting the Animal Anti-Cruelty League by handing over a donation of R150 000 thereby positively impacting on the care and protection of the animals looked after by this non-profit organisation.
When you buy a policy from dotsure.co.za or make your monthly payment, spare a thought for the many animals receiving care and attention made possible by you and dosture.co.za, the insurer that cares. ENDS
