The 13th Annual Global Women Festival, hosted by AmPowering, concluded on a powerful and inspiring note on November 30, 2025, in Renton, Washington. The highly anticipated event brought together community leaders, advocates, and women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate empowerment, resilience, and advocacy, with a special focus on domestic violence awareness.
Founder of Channel A TV and DC Productions, Dr. Davies Chirwa, served as the Distinguished Main Judge for the Mrs. Universe America Pageant, a central highlight of the festival. Dr. Chirwa’s role extended beyond adjudication, as he was recognized for his continued mentorship and guidance to both current and past pageant contestants. His leadership and commitment to empowering women through media, mentorship, and community engagement were formally honored by Redmond City Councilmember and AmPowering Founder, Menka Soni, alongside members of the AmPowering Board.

During the pageant, Dr. Chirwa crowned winners across several categories and congratulated all participants for their compelling platform presentations, which addressed critical issues affecting women and communities at large. The contestants were commended not only for their poise and confidence, but also for their dedication to advocacy, service, and social impact.

The Global Women Festival 2025, AmPowering’s final event of the year, was dedicated to Domestic Violence Awareness and Advocacy. The festival underscored the urgent need for continued action and support for survivors, reinforcing AmPowering’s mission to uplift and protect women facing abuse. All proceeds from AmPowering’s events throughout the year were directed toward providing interim shelter through the organization’s Mayka Program, as well as supporting women affected by domestic violence.

A deeply moving moment of the festival was the recognition of six courageous women who were honored with the Ms. Empowering Universe title. These women were celebrated not merely as beauty queens, but as resilient leaders and survivors. Each shared personal stories of facing and overcoming domestic violence, offering hope, strength, and inspiration to others while amplifying the voices of survivors everywhere.
As the 2025 Global Women Festival came to a close, it stood as a testament to the power of community, advocacy, and leadership. Through the collective efforts of AmPowering, its partners, and distinguished leaders such as Dr. Davies Chirwa, the event once again reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women, raising awareness, and creating meaningful change.
