Youngage Foundations Npc is committed to addressing the challenges faced by children in South Africa’s township communities, particularly those in underprivileged areas where many households struggle with low incomes. The foundations mission is to improve the health and educational outcomes for black children who often lack the resources necessary for academic success.
The Santa Shoe Box initative was specifically to help those children in dire need of school shoes which are essential for both their education and wellbeing. Many children in these communities face bullying and isolation because they cannot afford a propped footwear which significantly affects their self esteem and attendance. Providing new school shoes not only boost their confidence but also encourages regular school attendance and makes learning fun, allowing them to focus on their education without the added burden of self consciousness
This beautiful impactful initiative was proudly sponsored by GWM South Africa. On the 9th December 2024 at Leratadima Primary School, children recieved a Santa Shoe Box that included health and educational items such as: school shoes, hygiene starter pack, book to read and a packet of sweet. GWM South Africa also visited the school and took part in the handover of Santa Shoe Box. Kids were left smiling, feeling hopeful and looking forward to 2025. Parents also attended the event they were grateful for the gift recieved, Principal of the school, Mr Elliot was also thankful to the donation.
Youngage Foundation Npc continues to urge individuals, organizations, businesses, funders, donors to continue supporting their school shoes initiative as there are many children without Shoes. Louisa Molise Founder of the organization says ” we have done a lot for our children in townships and we do not stop here, we want to ensure no child is left out and all children are fully empowered and supported with educational resources, every child deserves the right to education and good health. Louisa Molise, appreciated her donor GWM South Africa for showing commitment and spreading love to Leratadima Primary school children
