JETOUR T2 FLEET DELIVERS FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE AT G20
The new Jetour T2 delivered a flawless performance at this past weekend’s G20 Summit in Johannesburg. Following its launch late last month, the T2 had already attracted significant attention, with its role as the largest official vehicle partner of the G20 Summit elevating its visibility even more. Over the course of the weekend, the striking Jetour T2 convoys formed a visible presence across Johannesburg, strengthening awareness of the brand among global leaders, international media and South African audiences.
Jetour supplied a fleet of 70 top-spec, black Jetour T2 SUVs, which were deployed as VIP convoy vehicles for the Summit. This year marked the first time the G20 was hosted on African soil, with 42 countries and international organisations attending, including high-profile delegations from China, India, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Japan, Canada and Australia.
The T2 convoys operated continuously from the arrival of delegations at the airport, through transfers to headquarters hotels in Sandton, Menlyn in Pretoria and the West Rand and to and from the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec. The T2 convoys formed an integral part of all the carefully orchestrated transportation plans for the Summit, transporting Foreign Ministers who were accompanying their Heads of State or Heads of Delegation, with every attending country having a Jetour vehicle within its convoy. Several of the Jetour T2s were also used to transport Heads of International Organisations.
Throughout the Summit, there were no faults or operational interruptions across all 70 vehicles, a significant accomplishment given the demanding schedules and high-pressure conditions. Designed for both capability and comfort, the T2’s advanced features which include panoramic cameras, comprehensive parking sensors, tyre-pressure monitoring and robust power performance, contributed directly to its flawless execution.
In preparation for the Summit, Jetour implemented a specialised service and support programme tailored for international conference standards. Every vehicle underwent rigorous inspections, pre-deployment preparation and on-call mechanical support.
In a formal note of appreciation shared after the Summit, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation commended Jetour’s contribution. Further gratitude was expressed by Mr. Mlungisi Maphanga, Director: Government Fleet and National Department of Transport, who thanked Jetour for its valued support.
The successful performance of the Jetour T2 fleet at the 2025 G20 Summit marks a major milestone for Jetour’s presence in South Africa and reflects the brand’s commitment to providing dependable, technologically advanced SUVs to South Africa’s growing automotive offering.
The top of the range Jetour T2 Odyssey is priced at R679 900 and is now available at all Jetour dealers nationwide. Also available in the series is the Jetour T2 Xplora for R639 900 and the T2 Aspire at R569 200.
