SO AMAZING – TRIBUTE TO LUTHER VANDROSS FT JOEL ZUMA

After two sold out performances last year in February, ‘SO AMAZING’ returns on 14 & 15 February 2025 at the Joburg Theatre. Joel Zuma and his band present two memorable nights of great music in celebration of love at the Joburg Theatre.

‘SO AMAZING’ is a live show that pays tribute to Luther Vandross’s catalogue of R&B hits from the 1980’s to date. The show is named after his 1986 popular ballad ‘SO AMAZING’ which entered the top 40 on the UK Singles Chart and earned a nomination for Best R&B Soul Single at the Soul Train Awards.

Joel Zuma is a renowned performer who has shared stages with the late Hugh Masekela, Lira, Thandiswa Mazwai, Ladysmith Black Mambazo among others. The crooner promises a romantic evening of love songs and pop hits from Luther Vandross’s extensive catalogue of evergreen classics. These hits include: ‘So Amazing’, ‘Here and Now’, ‘Power or Love’, ‘Always and Forever’, ‘Dance with my father’ and more. The presentation includes duets with surprise guests. The show is tailor made for everybody that loves good music: couples, friends, singles and music lovers at large who want a night of good music.’’ says Joel. Music of the show is directed by the well-respected MD – Mr Tshepo Mngoma.

Joel is recording artist and songwriter in his own right ever since he released ‘When the Time is Right’ a classic Afro-Soul Album in 2012. He later released a number of singles. ‘I will also be performing selected original songs including ‘Ngimtholile’, ‘Thando Futhi’ with a full band and a trio backed by the best vocalists on stage. ‘I’m excited about our partnership with Joburg Theatre.
