TRESemmé and MaXhosa Africa continue their dynamic partnership this year, blending hair artistry with high fashion to celebrate African beauty, culture, and self-expression. Preparations for the upcoming Paris Fashion Week in March are underway, where TRESemmé and MaXhosa Africa are set to push the boundaries of creativity and heritage-driven fashion even further.
Since the launch of TRESemmé’s All Hair, All You campaign in July 2024, to their show-stopping collaboration at Paris Fashion Week in September, the partnership has cemented itself as a force for cultural representation on a global stage
The union was born from a shared vision: to celebrate African identity through hair and fashion. It champions self-expression and inclusivity in haircare, a mission that naturally ties in with MaXhosa’s ethos of honouring Xhosa culture through intricate designs and bold aesthetics.

The partnership has gained momentum, leading to several activations, including MaXhosa Africa’s New York in-store activation during 2024 New York Fashion Week, where TRESemmé provided hair styling that showcased the versatility of African hair. During the previous year’s Paris Fashion Week, MaXhosa Africa made history with TRESemmé as its official backstage hair partner. The show featured avant-garde hairstyles that perfectly complemented the MaXhonaissance collection, reinforcing the idea that hair is a vital element of fashion storytelling.

As TRESemmé and MaXhosa Africa gear up for another Paris Fashion Week this March, anticipation is high. This season’s showcase will build upon the creative foundation set in 2024, with an even stronger emphasis on heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary African identity. Backstage, a dedicated team of top hairstylists will collaborate with designer Laduma Ngxokolo to craft breathtaking hair looks that pair perfectly with MaXhosa Africa’s upcoming collection.
“This partnership is more than just fashion and hair – it’s about showcasing our culture with pride and confidence on a global stage,” says Ngxokolo. “We’ve seen the power of representation in creating resonance with audiences, and we’re ready to take it even further in 2025.”

Beyond the runway, the collaboration will continue at MaXhosa’s highly anticipated MXS Kulture Festival on March 15 at Toadbury Hall in Lanseria. This event is tailored to celebrate African artistry across fashion, music, beauty, and storytelling. As part of the festival, TRESemmé will offer attendees an exclusive opportunity to experience expert haircare and the transformative power of styling at their Dry Bar activation.

Through synergistic collaborations, viral hair moments, and groundbreaking fashion showcases, TRESemmé and MaXhosa Africa continue to raise the bar of beauty and culture. From the All Hair, All You campaign to Paris Fashion Week and beyond, the partnership stands as a testament of the power African creativity on the global stage

“Fashion Week, TRESemmé was created to empower self-expression and individuality. Through our #AllHairAllYou campaign we’ve encouraged experimentation and showcased our ability to cater to all hair types and support a myriad of styling choices,” says Anele Nzimande-Maphanga, TRESemmé Public Relations Lead. “Our collaboration with MaXhosa is about more than hair and fashion – it’s about creating a movement towards uninhibited self-expression. It’s about being bold unapologetically bold about who you are and making a statement both on and off the runway; and empowering individuals to embrace their heritage with confidence.”
As the journey continues, one thing is clear: the fusion of African fashion and hair artistry is here to stay, and the world stage is watching these two industry giants tell Africa’s story in a bold and unique way.
