
Dr. Okito Wedi is the Founder and CEO of Crtve Development, a pan-African advocacy and storytelling
organisation building Africa’s narrative infrastructure for sustainable development. Through creative
campaigning, culture, and data, CD champions African-led development that shapes public imagination,
shifts policy, and drives systemic change.
A medical doctor and global health and policy specialist with over 15 years’ experience, Dr. Wedi has
worked on issues spanning health security, climate change, gender and economic justice, and global
finance reform with leading multilateral and development partners such as the United Nations, Uniting to
Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases (UTC), Global Citizen, and Purpose PBC. She operates at the nexus of
Africa’s most pressing social and economic challenges, advancing solutions that centre creativity and the
leadership of disenfranchised communities in driving the continent’s development.
